Russell Landing Within Haw Creek Preserve
Russell Landing Menu

Tucked away in western Flagler County lies Haw Creek Preserve, a 1005- acre tract of land set aside to preserve the cypress oak and hardwood swamp that borders Haw Creek. May Haw trees line the creek and produce the small apple like fruit from which the creek gets its name. The fruit is popular for making jelly. A winding boardwalk overlooks the creek.  Launch your canoe, kayak or boat for a scenic tour or excellent fishing in the dark creek waters.

Glimpse an osprey, great blue heron, or anhinga or watch an alligator sunning itself on the bank.  The 1005 acre preserve borders Haw Creek for approximately two miles along its southern boundary.

In addition to the boardwalk and boat launch, the preserve offers a picnic pavilion and grill as well as hiking and horseback riding.  Primitive group camping is available by permit. For more information about camping or pavilion rentals, call Parks and Recreation at (386) 313-4020.
